Aims

Establish and foster a long-term and dynamic partnership between IC students and Sri Lankan local communities.

Training, experience and appreciation of working in teams to run projects, problem solve within the context of a very different culture and a post-conflict, post-tsunami transition country.

Creating awareness within IC, amongst students and departments, and education of the problems local Sri Lankan communities may face to social development.

Sharing with the IC community the opportunities, for example research or humanitarian, that are available in Sri Lanka through SLinks’ local contacts.

Sharing with the IC community the knowledge and holistic experience that volunteers gain from working and living in Sri Lanka.
